The 2012 Best Little Cowboy Gathering will once again feature events for the whole family. Here are just a few of the events that will be going on during the weekend. For event times, check out the official schedule here.
Catered Meal by Peter's BBQ
One of Fayette County's favorite caterers will be serving a meal from 5:00 to 6:30pm on Saturday evening. Enjoy beef tips and gravy over rice, green beans, coleslaw, homemade bread and tea or water. Cost is $12.00/person, presale only.
Single Action Shooting Society
Witness men and women dressed in 1870's clothing shooting pistols, shotguns and rifles at targets while being timed.
Fiddle Showcase Hour
Jody Nix and his Texas Cowboy Band will be joined by other fiddlers for an hour of classic fiddle songs.
Dutch Oven Cookoff/Exhibitions
Stroll by dutch oven chefs cooking over charcoal and open fires. They will be cooking 3 entries - main dish, bread and dessert. There will also be dutch oven exhibitions by Tim Spice. Tim is in Education Outreach with Texas Parks and Wildlife. He's an accomplished dutch oven cook and will be sharing his expertise and recipes.
Western Trade Show
Visit the Trade Show in the Exhibit Hall. Vendors will be selling clothes, metal art and everything in between.
Saturday Swing All Day
The Western Club of Navasota is sponsoring "Saturday Swing All Day". Swing Music featuring Jody Nix and his Texas Cowboy Band at 4pm and Billy Mata and The Texas Tradition at 8pm. Both dances will be in the dance hall.
